The Game of Chasing Opportunity

The average Mule deer hunter gets 1 opportunity a year! This means you better make it count!

Last year I talked with a friend, and he told me about the following experience…

“I had been chasing this buck for three days before he made the mistake of bedding facing downhill! I had a perfect opportunity to stalk him! I moved slowly and spent hours working in until I was 47 yards away but I couldn't get any closer so I settled in and waited! The Buck got up and I had a broadside shot! I drew, aimed, and executed a perfect shot… Just to hear my arrow hit the rocks in front of him! I could have sworn I was aiming perfectly and it should have been a dead buck!”

This same thing happened to him 2 other times during the week! So we took his bow into the shop to find out his 2nd and 3rd axis were off so when he shot on an angle his bow wasn’t sighted in. This is a very simple, quick fix for someone who has experience!
